Hello! It's been too long since my last outfit post. It just so happens that I have collected some new clothes and shoes since:) This cute little blue dress is from eShakti which has some of the best dresess in all kinds of sizes. I seriously look at their overstock section everyday to see if there are any good deals in my size. I think I bought this little number for $15. I have also added to my growing shoes collection ever since Shoedazzle had a warehouse sale a few weeks ago. I left that sale with 8 pairs of shoes and only paid $80! Hello blog world! I've been absent again from my litle blog:( Boo on me! Life and laziness wins again. I come to you today because 1.) I have some great news to share and 2.) I've tried the Sally Hansen nail stripes before and I really liked them. Their designs can sometimes be a little much so I was excited to find Nail Rock's right on target. Nail Rock even has a great gold and silver option. I was ready to scoop up on a pack direct from Nail Rock but I found a better deal on ASOS. I think I saved like $2 with ASOS free shipping compared to going direct and paying for shipping. I can't wait to get my nails on the the red and gold half moons! I'm totally digging this design trend! I actually tried doing it myself with nail polish and it turned out to be a messy waste of 2 hours.

I'm taking some time to enjoy the last bits of summer. I think this time around I'm really going to miss summer but I can't say I haven't been thinking about the darker side of my closet and lovely fall boots. My nails have already transitioned into falls colors. I painted them the deepest red wine and added one nail with a pop of gold. Aren't they just lovely?!

Hello blog world! Long time no see! I've been skipping around enjoying my summer and working in between. I have been taking outfit pictures but I find it hard to post anything lately. I call it being busy with life. The highlights of my summer so far have been spending a full day at Disneyland and really loving every minute, hanging with my little brother for a full week and getting a sunburn that turned into a tan. Spent Saturday studying and listening to The Black Keys. It pretty sums up how big of a nerd I am.

I've been a bad girl...as soon as I conquered my self-imposed shopping ban last week I went kind of crazy. I guess thats what happens when you don't shop for 30 days:/ My huband says I have a problem. I told him I was just getting started:) The items above are just a few things I've added to my closest in the last two weeks. The shoes are for work but I have a feeling the Steve Madden look-a-like will be worn on the weekends too. I already warned my husband that if he's not nice to me I will buy the red and tan pair. Give me two weeks and he will be begging me to stop talking about the shoes and just buy them already....works everytime:) The pants were on sale...both are under $30! I have been loving what Asos has been coming up with lately. I was so excited that Asos is having another BIG sale. My wallet is happy too. Can't wait to post some outfits with all my new loves.

You guys...I must be nuts of something! I wore tights and a blazer to work today and I was burning up! I was so happy to go home and change into this:) So flowy, light and care free. As you can see I'm still in my 70's flower child phase. The top was sent to me by City Chic and there is something so lovely about it. The cut in the front is exactly the same in the back (no clue why I didn't take pictures). The flared jeans are on sale right now at Asos for $28.69! I scooped them up as soon as they went on sale:) They are super stretchy and the wash is a very dark blue. I'm buying up all the flared jeans I find on sale (sshhhh, don't tell my skinny jeans).

I wore this outfit to brunch with my hubby...I didn't feel overdressed at brunch (probably because all the stay at home moms were walking around in their high priced jeans, bags & shoes lol...oh SoCal women make me laugh) but we ended up going to Costco (emergency toilet paper run lol) after and that's when I felt a little overdressed. Oh well, at least I was finally able to take these wedges out for a stroll. They are still awesome and surprisingly comfortable. On to the bag...it was a gift from the husband for my birthday. He did good right?! He kept telling me that I needed a new bag...I guess four years with the same black bag was too much for him so he bought me this one from Aldo. The bag is pretty much perfect, not too big not too small. Aldo even has it in cream and black:) The only issue I had about the experience was the online updates and shipping. It took one week for them to update my order as shipped and then it took another week for it to be delivered:( I guess I should have just gone in store...you live you learn. Ok loves...it's about that time to lay on the couch and unbutton my jeans. Yes, I ate too much...aghhhhhh food coma.

Hello loves! It's been forever since my last blog post and I have to say I really started to miss my little blog and my lovely readers. The time away did give me some time to collect some new things to show you:) Let's talk about this lovely dress that City Chic sent me. It was my first time ordering a dress from them and my experience with online shopping has been to get my true size...I've tried sizing up in a few cases and the items always end up being too big. So when I got this dress I hoped that it would fit ok. Has anyone had issues with the fit of maxi dresses? Sometimes they don't fit my bootie lol:) I was so happy that this one fit perfectly! Everything about this dress reminds me of California...it has a beachy, chill, Mexican-ish feel to it which I adore. Let's move on to the SHOES! These wedges are ridiculous! My sister bought this beauties at Nordstrom and it was love at first sight for me. I told her that I was sorry in advance for jocking her style. I bought from directly from Steve Madden's online store and in two days they were mine! The shipping was amazing...not like Aldo's shipping but that's another story for another post:)I'll be adding more blog posts this week so don't forget to check back!

A little older and (hopefully) a little wiser. Today I turned 25 years old and I'm finally feeling like an adult. When the heck did that happen? I guess it was around the time I stopped spending my whole pay check on clothes and started saving my hard earned dollar LOL! Ok, moving on...I wore this to have a casual dinner with my husband at my fave restaurant. You know when sometimes you put something on and it doesn't picture well? This is one of those times. My mirror was agreeing with my outfit but the camera wasn't. Oh well...time to start my bday weekend!

It has been decided that this will be the summer of the hippie. Who has decided this you may ask...my inner 70's flower power hippie self! Ever since I saw my sister in a a black flowy poncho with leather shorts I knew what my summer closet would look like. Being that I live in Southern California spring is long gone and the summer heat is here. I bought two pairs of wedges that will be perrrfect for all the oufits I have planned. Oh, did you notice that I took pictures outside! What the what...change is possible! The lighting is better but the trash dripping stains from some dirty neighbors is awful. Hellooooo (Jersey Shore Angelina voice) who does that?!? Ok, so you guys know I'm all about a good deal right? I bought this poncho top at H&M for $10! STEAL! So am I the only one going for a theme this summer?

I'm back from the dead! I was seriously sicker then a dog these pass few weeks. But I'll save you the horror stories. I've also been shopping like there's no tomorrow! I bought four tops and a pair of jeans from Torrid's BIG sale two weeks ago and I only spent $24! SCORE! The top I'm wearing was only $4.99...original price was $45! AMAZING if you ask me:) I also hit my local Target and found these trouser jeans for $12. I've been looking for a good deal on trouser jeans and I could not pass these up. The fit is perfect and the wash is great for casual outfits. Alright loves, I'm off to enjoy this lovely weather.

I was sooooo close to wearing just black tights today but I popped on these maroon tights from We Love Color. After I took these pictures I added a necklace but I got too lazy to retake pictures. Ok, I'm lying I was running late to work:) On another note, these ruffle booties are the bomb.com! I get so many great comments when I wear them and I always have to say "THEY WERE ONLY $15!" As you can tell I just finished watching Anchorman! I LOVE everything they put Christina Applegate in. Not surprising...I love anything that has the 70's written all over it. Ok, so I know this oufit has nothing to do with the 70's:) I've been kind of all over the place lately LOL! I have to tell you ladies I adore this top from Asos! I think I bought it for $12 (I know...shocking!). It has a great zipper detail in the back which I of course forgot to take pictures of. I just received these great fishnets from We Love Colors and they are perfect for adding a little extra "POW" into my work outfits. Is it spring yet? Nope, but it sure does feel like it in California! THIS is why I live in California...sunny days, mild nights and zero crazy weather. It's the perfect equation for an outfit post. I wore this on Super Bowl Sunday:) Can I just say that red it quickly becoming my favorite color. I found this blazer thrifting one day and I was shocked to see that it looked just like my black H&M blazer! SCORE! I paired it with the H&M top that EVERYONE bought last summer and my first pair of jeggings. Let me just say...jeggings are the bees knees! If you're still on the fence (like I was) buy a cheap pair and see how they hold up. I found these at Forever21+ for $11.50! Another SCORE! Now...on to one of my favorite things...NAIL POLISH♥

I think I've found my nail polish for S/S11! It's the prettiest peachy-pink I've ever seen and I can seriously say I'm love:) Actually as soon as I'm done with this post I'm going to repaint my nails. Freshly painted nails...one of the simple pleasures in life.

I was feeling super duper inspired by Franceta of Frantic Dreams post about being a "typical blogger" so I whipped up my version of a fashion blogger. I was totally channeling Krystal from This Time Tomorrow. This girl has mad style!! I really like how my outfit came out but I'm sure you're asking "Gabi, would you really wear that?" And I would say "Hellz YEAH!" But I would most likely end up putting on a tank under my top before showing the "goods" in public LOL! Ok ladies, here's my list of the must have items to be a "fashion blogger" (this list is just for fun...)

1. Wear faux fur (everyday)
2. The favorite print of a blogger is leopard. Live it, love it, wear it!
3. Find the perfect blazer and use it in 5 out of 10 blog post
4. Wear browns/nudes with black. Basically break all those dumb "fashion rules"
5. Buy some badass sunglasses and call them sunnies. These are great for those days you don't put on full make-up
6. Do your signature hair style everyday. I find the bun to be the easiest
7. Layer like crazy! Layer necklaces, watches, tops, sweaters...pretty much anything you can think of.
8. Wear red lipstick. PERIOD! NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
9. Thrift and thrift and thrift.
10. Get to know Jeffrey Campbell.
11. Glitter and sequins is pretty much second to leopard. Best if both are done together:)

I'm sure I could make this list go on and on but I think the best fashion blogger is one that does it her own way.

Very first post of 2011 and it feels oh so good:) Like everyone else I feel like 2011 will be a very good year (fingers crossed, right). I'm going to work super hard to become a better person, blogger and do MUCH better in my career. Can't wait to see what things are to come! On that happy note, I'm also trying to wear everything in my closet this year:) I mentioned it in my last post and I think I'm going to try to stick to it. I dug out this floral skirt I bought in the summer. I made sure to layer because for some CRAZY reason (global warming maybe, El Nino maybe) it's EFFING cold in California! I did not sign up for this craziness! Oh, I been wearing this booties a lot lately. The husband calls them my elf shoes but I don't care. I ♥ them.

WOOHOO! I feel like a little kid opening up my gifts on Christmas day! My Serect Santa is Una from Curvy Everyday!! Thank you so much for all my gifts:) Una sent me a pair of spin pins from Goody (these make my daily buns sooo much faster!), purple earrings, a super cute bow headband (which I wore and everyone loved), a gift card to Target for my nail polish addiction, and a lovely notebook. I thought the notebook was such a great addition...it's great for writing down notes for my blog and sketches. Thank you so much Una for the gifts and Gerry for putting this whole thing together! I can't wait until my gift gets to my special gal:)

Oh yes those flowers will bloom! It has been pouring rain in Southern California for days non stop! But how can I really complain when we get some of the best weather the rest of the year? I thought I would mix up my winter wardore of black with color and florals. I have a dumb confession...I have a rule about not wearing florals in the winter (I'm a strange cookie). I LOVE breaking one of my dumb "fashion" rules! The red coat is one of my favorite items in my closet that I don't get to wear that often. Why?? It's too pretty...HAHA that's a horrible excuse! Ok, yes I agree I may have gone a little overboard with ordering shoes this month (overboard...shoes...is that even possible?). If this was something I did on the regular then I would say that I have a problem...they have AA for a shoe addiction, right?? Actually, I really don't have that bad of an addiction to shoes but I WAS super lucky to snag these cute flats from Charlotte Russe when they had their Happy Hour sale last Wednesday:) Each pair were going for $8! The leopard flats were because the old pair I had were already junk, the taupe wedges were to finally add a nude shade to my collection, the bad ass ankles boots were because I think I'm kinda bad-ass LOL and the oxfords were the classic-timeless pair that I sooooo needed. Who else do you know that thinks out pros and cons about shoe purchases?? I know, I'm a sick puppy.

Take a second look at the last picture with the lovely oxfords. I'm wearing We Love Colors Fishnets! Aren't they zexy?? I've never been a big fan of fishnets because of the extreme "rubbing" but I paired them with nude tights to solve that problem:) Over all I was pretty happy with feel and fit of these fishnets. Thanks We Love Colors for sending them to me for a review!

FFFweek(end) was in full swing when I was finally able to make it out on Saturday for the runway show. I was lucky enough to win a ticket through Nicolette Mason's Twitter contest that was sponsored through Evans. Thank you both for making this event possible for me! My date for the night was my lovely cousin Liz:) She also won tickets...luck runs in the family;) We got to the event right before the VIP cocktail party where we met up with all the lovely bloggers. I didn't get pictures of all the girls but they know who they are. JTTW! Liz and I both scored front row seats! Plus (this was one of the highlights of my night) we sat right in front of the Faith21 crew. I...almost...died! They asked me about my Faith21 dress and what I thought about the fitting of their clothes. It was amazing!! When the show started I could wipe the smile off of my face...I kept thinking...is this really happening?? I go from dreaming about going to a runway show to actually being at one and in the front row! Once again, amazing! The clothes were amazing, the models were amazing, the music was amazing...I really can't say amazing enough! It was so great to meet so many new cuvry women who were interested in the same things that I love. AMAZING!

Shout out to my JTTW girls! I wish we could hang out every weekend!

You ladies know how much I love tights, right?!?! Well if you don't let me tell you...I LOVE TIGHTS:) I wear them to work all the time with my skirts and dresses. I love that they can give that extra pop of color or texture. We Love Colors contacted me a few days ago to review thier line of plus sized tights. Their selection of colors is BANANAS! I can't wait to purchase more colors for my collection. When choosing I knew I had to have the maroon nylon tights:) They are very true to size and they feel amazing! I can seriously wear them all day. Oh wait, I did LOL!

The skirt is another great buy from ASOS's big sale last month. I put it on and instantly felt like a ballerina:) I love the color and feminine feel of it. I should probably be embarrassed about showing you guys my painting of The Little Mermaid but I'm kinda not:) It such a cute painting that my dad did for me with I was little:) I was (still am) in love with The Little Mermaid movie! I seriously wanted to be a mermaid when I grew up. About the nail polish...I have become a fan of Rimmel London's line of nail polish. It stays on FOREVER and the line of colors are fantastic! I wanted to try a lipstain so I opted for Revlon's Just Bitten line. I really like the color but the only downside was that the balm side broke off when I first used it:( SO SAD! But I actually like it better without applying the balm so I guess I shouldn't be too sad.

I think I was trying to go for a nautical/pin up look with this outfit. City Chic was kind enough to send me this great top! The top has a fab red heart print all over which makes happy just looking at it. The raffles are so feminine and lovely. I fell in love with it when I was looking at City Chic's online store. I think I have found my new go to online store. The shipping took about a week which was awesome because City Chic is based out of Australia. They will be launching in the US very soon so keep a look out. Holy guacamole has it been forever since my last post! For those of you that aren't on Twitter I sincerely apologize for my absence. I'm in the middle of a battle with ATT to connect my DSL. For some reason they can't transfer my account from my old place to my new place. "ATT I curse the day you were born!" On to the outfit:) I bought this great jersey maxi from Target about 3 years ago. I used to think I can only use it to be lazy around the house but I'm starting to think differently about it. I paired it with my leather jacket to give it a more rocker look. The necklace was the cherry on top! I actually found it at Forever21!! I was amazed when I came across it. I've seen it before in different stores and blogs but the prices were kinda crazy. This one was about $8:) It's going to work perfect for the times I just want to do jeans and a tee.

I've been on this nail polish kick lately. I just can't get enough! These four are a few news ones I've picked up in the last week. I was inspired by SATC 2 to buy the metallic shades. I could not take my eyes off of Samantha's gold nails! I read that the she wore Minx Nails which last up to two weeks. AWESOME, but the price is a little much. They go for about $60 a pop...I'm cool with my $2.50 nail polish from Walmart LOL! I've had my eye on the perfect green polish for months now. Finally found one from Sally Hansen:) I'm uber excited to try it soon! My unexpected fave has to be from Rimmel called Grey Steel. It has a romantic shade of grey with hints of purple. It seriously lasts forever! I could probably go two weeks without chipping. I'll never know for sure though...I change my nail polish like I change my mind:)

I love me some Barry White (hence the title)! It's funny, most of his songs just make me want to twirl around and dance:) So anywho...I've been bad at posting lately. I guess I'm still recovering from Vegas. Since I haven't wore these fantastic shoes in a few days I put them on and walked around my house a bit. I love how they make me tall! I think these make me about 5'11-ish. I so wish I was tall:( I would have definitely jumped into the modeling world if I were. What the heck is wrong with me! LOL! I didn't even want to talk about my all time fanasty about being tall. Side track! Sorry:P Ok, so I'm not really sure what inspired this outfit. I started with the skirt and it grew from there. I just got back from a four day trip to Vegas! I am pooped out but I had a blast! The trip consisted of alcohol, buffets, taxi rides, laughter and $1 deals...it was a perfect Vegas vacation:) We stayed at THE hotel at the Mandalay Bay. The room was beautiful! Probably the nicest I've ever stayed in. I had such a great time meeting new fabulous people and doing new fabulous things! Enjoy the photos! I took them just to post on my little blog♥ Back to reality tomorrow:)

Holy guacamole! I've been drooling over these shoes for months! I've never bought shoes from Forever21 so I didn't know if the fit would be ok and if the quality was shitty. I did a quick emergancy run to Forever21 today and found these beauties! They were the last ones and in my size!! I'm a 10 in shoes so I always have a hard time finding my size:) I'm on cloud nine right now.

Mission Impossible!

What a crazy Friday! I went to work half day and wore this lovely getup:) After I got out of work I hurried home to change and head to the Fashion District in L.A. The only reason I went was for my sister...becasue the deals there are NOT great. I saw a whole lota stuff from Forever21. Seriously...everywhere I turned there was something that I've seen or even thought about getting from F21. I was totally bummed out:( But it was nice to walk around with my sis and spend time together. After that we went on a mission to pick up my mom from LAX...aghhhhhhh I hate airports. LAX is the worst! Drove around a bunch of times looking for her LOL! Oh well...it was nice to see her:) Today I'm going to spend time with one of my favorite people and bloggers! Have a great Saturday dolls!

I am not a skirt person at all! I always feel like the wind will sneak up on me and show my grannies lol! I decided to get over my fear and buy a bunch of skirts recently:) I wore them all to work as you can tell...I look all profess! I'm loving the print one I got at Forever21. It has a great band at the waist that I can wear a little higher. If I pair it with a tank it kinda looks like a dress...awesome look for the weekends! Oh oh...I was really happy with the red ribbon outfit I wore on Wednesday! I felt like flying to France and eating at a cafe:) I want to give thanks to all my lovely followers/friends for all your comments!! You are all so awesome♥

I'm also showing the birthday shopping spree I did on the weekend! I was so excited to find this boyfriend blazer for $25 at H&M...I fell in love. The best part was that it was the last one and it was my size! Woopwoop! I'm also super excited about these black jeans from Forever21. I got them for $11!! Oh yeah, I said $11!! What a week! I need the rest and relaxation I'm getting this weekend. But before completely vegging out I did some shopping at Forever21 and H&M:) I have on the skirt, leggings, and tank I got at F21. I adore the tank because it ties in with the whole nautical trend I've been seeing and loving. I love this skirt! I'm wearing it high waisted but it really supposed to sit at the hips. I tied it tighter to get this look. I'm excited to be able to wear it to work and on the weekends. I'll post more of what I purchased as I wear it:) Hope everyone has a awesome weekend!

I feel like such a lucky girl today! Not only is it my birthday and I got some great bday wishes from my wonderful friends & family but I also won an awesome Forever21 tote from Stiletto Siren's contest! What a great day:) I got a couple of giftcards which will be used to fill my closet with lovely spring items. My beautiful sister gave me the dress I'm wearing...she is the bestest! HAHAHA! Our conversations crack me up:) As you can tell I'm NOT a Stepford wife at all! I'm all about a marriage being equal and taking care of each other, but this isn't a maid service baby! This fit (as the lovely Iza would say...love ya doll!) reminds me of something a Stepford wife would wear...minus all the black. I wore it to work and needed it to look more professional(black=profess...in my head it does LOL). I love this dress! I have some great memories in it. Isn't great to attach a memory to an item of clothing:)

I've always like to have my clothes speak for me:) Sometimes the shout "HEY YOU! LOOK AT THIS FUCKING AMAZING PRINT!" LOL! Clothes (even though some don't like to believe it) really are a good way of reading people. Sorry...I can't finish my thoughts right now :( WTF! I've been home all day listening to my favorite bands of the 90's. Who can say no to the Foo Fighters, Green Day, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Third Eye Blind! Hence the inspiration for this outfit. I know it's not 90's per se...I'm missing lots of plaid and combat boots:) Oh well! Dress how you feel...that's what fashion is all about. Help! I'm in need of a LBD (little black dress)! I just took a look at my closet and found that I'm missing one of the main sample of a good closet! I know I had one in there at one point in time but I'm a compulsive donator. I clean out my closet every year and give away my clothes. I know, I know...what the EFF! ...makes me wish that weekends lasted an eternity. Saturday was full of cooking, BBQ, great conversation, hammicks, wine, and yummy cinnamon buns. I had the best time at the in-laws. I love them so much! I wore my usual over-sized tee, leggings, sweater and boots. Oh, weekends how I love thee!
(btw...I have a candy wrapper in my mouth, not a joint!)

Special thanks to my lover! He made some bomb homemade hotwings and fries on Sunday:) He is the best effing cook in the world!

Jeans Day

Don't you just love Jeans Day at work?! I live in black and professional work clothes Monday through Thursday. Its great to throw on a pair of jeans on Friday and feel a little closer to the weekend. These jeans are my fave! I got them at Forever21 for like $15! Usually when I buy a pair of jeans for that cheap the fit isn't right but these are perfect! Side note: I can't wait to try on the Torrid jeans I won from Curvy Girl Chic's contest! I also just won a beautiful LBD from The Curvy Girl's Guide to Style! Thank you lovelies!!!I'll be sure together an OOTD to share with everyone. Can't wait for tomorrow...heading out to do some much needed shoe shopping:)
